Hi Rick,

Yes. I confirm the netserver has been started. Since I use the command "netstat -tn" to check the current port connection, it shows me that the port 12865 has been connected by another port because I start netperf and netserver in one server.

Yes. I use the "-l 10" as the command durance time.

Also, I tried to use the netperf without any options, there is still no any data summary output and it still shows "no response received".
Does some Windows-specific tool/command show there is a TCP endpoing listening at port number 12865?

Is there any sort of firewall in place that might also be affecting loopback traffic?

Does some Windows-specific tool/command show there is still a netserver daemon running on the system?
Folks,

I downloaded the netperf2.4.5 from the official website and
compiling the source codes with Windows DDK. Here is my
compiling platform.

netperf2.4.5
window 2003 enterprise version.
windows ddk 3790.1830

After I followed the instruction compiling the bits
files(netperf & netserver) successfully, I was going to verify
the bits files are fine or not.

1. start netserver.exe from command line
2. using the command "netperf -H 127.0.0.1 -l 10"

Is that "-l 10" or is that "-1 10" in your command line. In my
mailer it looks like you wrote "minus one ten" rather than "dash ell 10"

How about if you just say "netperf" with no command-line arguments.

3. it will take long time with message "netperf:
receive_response: no response received. errno 0 counter 0".
There is no any data summary as output.

is it wrong with my compiling causing this invalid case? does
anyone know the root cause and how to resolve it.
