Folks -
Having taking an introduction to Python class recently, I have
re-written post-proc.sh and its helper awk scripts into Python:
http://www.netperf.org/svn/netperf2/trunk/doc/examples/post_proc.py
In addition to the change of language I've been able to alter a couple
algorithms. Between them the time to post-process has been sped-up
considerably. Feel free to give it a whirl.
I will probably continue enhancing the post-proc.py script - I'm
thinking of making the generation of per-instance graphs optional as
well as finding the interval with the highest average performance.
happy benchmarking,
rick jones
PS - I welcome any/all "Here is how it could be better" feedback
