I think you and Michael Shuldman should compare notes because I think 
you are both trying to do similar things.  At least I see portbouncers 
and NAT as being similar :)

Broadly speaking I take it the idea is to further split the addressing into:

a) that to which netperf binds
b) that which netperf tells netserver where netperf is
c) that which netperf tells netserver to bind to
d) that to which netperf sends/connects

Right now -L takes one value for a+b, and -H c+d.  Whether further 
extending -H and -L (their test-specific versions) or adding new options 
is an open question.
