ok, do I have to deinstall something related to the actual version (2.4.0 ) which is used or would it
be simply a remove of those folders and over install the new version with said ./configure options.

Top of trunk is *beyond* 2.4.5 - they are the bits that will become either 2.4.6
or 2.5.0 depending on how things go.

I tend to use:
./configure --enable-burst --prefix=/opt/netperf2
because I often want burst mode functionality for abusing the TCP_RR test as a
single-connection bidirectional bandwidth test :) (Or aggregate small packet
transactions)
