Thanks, I reinstalled and it worked.
Now I am gettting this though when I try the Demo mode:
# ./netperf -D 1.35 -H 172.24.50.21 -F M
TCP STREAM TEST from 0.0.0.0 (0.0.0.0) port 0 AF_INET to 172.24.50.21 (172.24.50
.21) port 0 AF_INET : demo
Could not open requested fill file: No such file or directory
#
Any Idea what they mean by 'requested fill file?'
I am going through the Care and Feeding of Netperf 2.0 to see if I can make it all work.
thanks,
Ed Collins

It suggests that the remote netserver died after the control connection was
established. Often as not that suggests a mismatched version - netperf and
netserver need to be the same version on both sides.
