[netperf-talk] detecting OS security

Folks -

The netperf2 TOT:

http://www.netperf.org/svn/netperf2/trunk

now has a new set of files with names such as src/netsec_mumble.c where
presently mumble can be either linux or none :) The idea is to enhance
the omni tests to be able to report the type and status of OS security
features like SELinux. To that end there are now local/remote reports
for mumble_SECURITY_TYPE, mumble_SECURITY_ENABLED and
mumble_SECURITY_SPECIFIC

presently the src/netsec_linux.c knows how to detect SELinux and report
those items for it, but it does not know about say AppArmor. If folks
have pointers to similar lookup mechanisms for that or other OS's
security stuff I'd like to hear about it.

happy benchmarking,

rick jones
