[netperf-talk] VPN throughput

Hello All,
I want to check the VPN throughput of particular firewall by using netperf and here is my setup:-
(Netperf Client side) LAN--------Firewall 1-----------VPN-----------Firewall 2-----------LAN (Netserver side)
To measure VPN throughput, is it as simple as running the TCP_STREAM, TCP_RR, TCP_CRR, UDP_STREAM and UDP_RR tests from client side to server side.
Also, is there a way to test firewall throughput with services running Spamfilter (SMTP port 25), WebFilter (HTTP port 80) through Netperf?
