[netperf-talk] looking for a cron job to generate daily and weekly
distributtion tars from SVN TOT

Folks -
While I suspect I could cobble something together without _too_ much trouble,
I'm going to ask if someone out there could concoct a cron job or jobs which
would generate daily and/or weekly "make dists" from the netperf SVN TOT. Extra
points for one which is triggered by an svn commit hook.
The reason: It has been suggested that things like Makefile.in files should be
removed from the repository. I don't have too strong a feeling about that, but
it would mean that anyone wanting to grab bits from the TOT would need to have
autotools on their system. I'd rather not require that for someone just wanting
to try the TOT, hence the desire for a commit-triggered "make dist" to make the
gz bz2 and zip files. Folks wanting to try the latest bits could do so by
grabbing a tar/zip rather than needing an svn client and autotools.
Ideally, it would only "fire" if there was a commit since the last "firing" and
it would fire no more often than once every 24 hours. Only say the last 7
"dailies" would be kept.
happy benchmarking
