Which version of netperf?  And while running which of netperf's tests?

Perhaps it was just wording - but netperf2 does not have a ramp-up - so 
if you could expand on that a bit it would be helpful.

I'd start by searching for the matching text in the source code.  We can 
work backwards from there.
