[netperf-talk] netperf4, AIX and OSX

Folks - I've updated the "glib_migration" branch of netperf:
http://www.netperf.org/svn/netperf4/branches/glib_migration
with changes triggered by compiling netperf4 under AIX (5.3). See the
README.aix file for pointers to where to get the dependencies.
On the system on which I've tested, the netperf side goes belly-up
trying to process results. I've tried looking at the stack in dbx, and
I am not entirely sure it is telling me the truth as it claims the
bottom of the stack is fflush, but the line it is telling me for the
next routing is not a call to fflush.
Anyway, I encourage anyone with an AIX system to give netperf4's
glib_migration branch a shot.
Also, I finally tried a netperf4 compilation under OSX (10.3.9) with
glib and pkg-config compiled from source (I still have Virex on my
system so cannot use Fink) IIRC that one didn't go belly-up. Folks
with OSX should feel free to grab the top of trunk from glib_migration
and give it a shot.
Windows awaits my trying to buid a DLL for nettest_bsd.c :)
happy benchmarking,
rick jones
